London Nights
- The book will contain essays, poetry and over 100 images that span the genres of architectural, documentary and portrait photography, and reveal London in a new (and eerie) light.
In May 2018 the Museum of London will showcase a major new exhibition of both contemporary and historic imagery that explores the capital after hours. This book, London Nights, will be launched in conjunction with the exhibition. Fusing portraiture, documentary, street and conceptual photography, the book reveals the city after dark through photographs ranging from the late 19th century to the present day.Well known photographers (such as Bill Brandt and Wolfgang Suschitzky) will sit alongside lesser-known contemporary artists who explore the dreamy, threatening and shadowy world of the city after the sun goes down. The book will contain essays, poetry and over 100 images that span the genres of architectural, documentary and portrait photography, and reveal London in a new (and eerie) light.
