From early in his career, he was influenced by literary giants like Dostoevsky, Shakespeare, and Balzac, to name a few. The book documents the research and exhibition developed by the National Film Archive of Japan in collaboration with the Kurosawa experts to highlight the director’s screenwriting abilities.
